FaceMasks masks faces in video locally in your browser. Choose a video, detect faces frame by frame, review the coverage, then export MP4 or WebM. Use solid masks, pixelation, strong blur or custom patterns, and draw additional masks manually.
How do I blur or pixelate faces in a video?
Choose a local video or sample, select “Scan every frame”, and choose a mask style. Review each face track, use a second model and manual masks where needed, then generate and download the video locally. Solid masks are recommended for sensitive content.
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. The server delivers only the website, models and samples. Decoding, detection and export happen in your browser. The site keeps standard access logs, but does not collect videos or face results and has no client-side analytics. Refreshing clears your video and results; mask preferences and custom patterns can be saved in your browser.
Which videos and devices are supported?
Use desktop Chrome or Edge with WebCodecs support. Current limits are 3 minutes, 300 MB and 1080p. Input codec support depends on your device; export uses H.264 MP4 or VP9 WebM. Mobile Safari and low-end device compatibility is not guaranteed.
Can you guarantee every face is covered?
No. Profiles, small faces, occlusion, motion and scene cuts can cause missed faces or incorrect track links. Tracks do not identify people, and manual masks do not follow motion. Review the entire video yourself. Audio, clothing and other identifying clues need separate attention.
