About FaceMasks
FaceMasks is an online video face-masking tool. You open a website, but your selected video is decoded, analysed and exported by your own browser, not sent to a video-processing server.

The email link opens your email app; FaceMasks does not send anything automatically. If no email app is configured, copy the address into your preferred email service.
A tool for review, not an anonymity certificate
The workflow combines frame-by-frame face detection, visual track review, manual masks and MP4/WebM export. It is intended to help you prepare a video before sharing. It cannot certify that every face or identifying detail has been removed.
What we verify
We use short sample clips and automated regression checks to test processing and export behaviour. A successful test is not a measured real-world accuracy rate. Profiles, small faces, occlusions, fast movement and scene changes still require manual inspection.
Clear boundaries
Tracks connect nearby detections; they are not identity recognition. One person can have several tracks, and tracks can be linked incorrectly. Manual rectangles stay at a fixed position within their time range. Audio, clothing, tattoos, names and surroundings can still identify someone.
Examples and attribution
The tutorials use licensed demo footage, not customer uploads. Screenshots record actual operations and identify deliberately constructed demonstrations. Sample sources and licence details are available from the tool’s sample picker and the datasets page.
