Privacy and Local Data
Opening an online tool still makes website requests. FaceMasks keeps video processing in your browser, but that does not mean the web server records nothing.
Videos and face results
Selected video files, decoded frames, face detections, tracks and export processing stay in the browser. The deployed service distributes static files and has no video-upload endpoint. Reloading the page discards the current editing session; it does not delete your original file or downloads.
What stays in browser storage
Local storage remembers language and processing preferences: model, mask style, edge padding, export format, audio removal and selected sample. IndexedDB stores the most recently chosen custom pattern, including its filename and prepared image data. These are not video-history or face-identity databases.
Clearing local data
The tool’s Clear button clears the current video and editing results, not all saved browser data. To remove saved settings and the custom pattern, clear this site’s storage through your browser’s site settings. This resets preferences; downloaded files must be removed separately using your device’s file manager. Shared devices may expose saved patterns or downloads to other users.
Website requests and server logs
Your browser downloads pages, scripts, models and optional demo clips from this site. The Alibaba Cloud web server writes ordinary access and error logs for operation and troubleshooting. Access logs can contain IP address, request time, requested path and query string, response status, response size, browser user agent and a referring URL if supplied. Do not put private information in URL parameters. These requests do not contain your selected video or face results.
Log rotation
The current server configuration rotates non-empty logs daily and retains 10 rotated files, compressing older rotations. This is an operational rotation setting, not a promise that every record is erased exactly 10 days after a visit. Logs are not displayed publicly by the tool.
Analytics and outside links
FaceMasks does not embed front-end advertising or analytics tracking in the workbench. Google Search Console is used to inspect public pages, not to receive video content. If you open a licence, documentation or other external link, that destination has its own privacy practices. Browser extensions, your device, and downloaded-file handling remain outside FaceMasks’ control.
